C’est à Clermont Ferrand, en septembre 2007, que Big Rush se forme avec Manu (Basse/Chant), Philippe (Guitare), Bertrand (Batterie) et Jeremy (Guitare), déjà présents sur la scène auvergnate.
Très rapidement, Big Rush enchaine les concerts en auvergne et, en février 2009, sort le premier album éponyme autoproduit qui est plutôt orienté Stoner
En juin 2009, Jeremy quitte le groupe et Jo intègre Big Rush. Le changement de Line Up marquera une nouvelle ère pour Big Rush. Du Stoner au Heavy Metal, tout en passant par le rock US, le groupe attaque la composition de son 2eme album autour de riffs de guitares puissants, reposant sur une basse/batterie structuré voire déstructuré, se créant un univers propre à eux.
En parallèle, pendant l’été 2010, Philippe va améliorer son jeu de guitare en Suède avec Mattias « IA » Eklundh (Freak Kitchen), quelques morceaux démo du futur album en poche. Il rencontre le guitariste brésilien du groupe Rei Lagarto , Ivan Melo, à qui il propose de figurer sur 2 remixes du futur album.
A la même époque, Philippe est en contact avec la marque américaine KAUER guitars qui lui réalise son premier modèle signature. Toutes les parties guitares de Philippe seront enregistrées avec ce modèle.
Juin 2011, sortie de [Sound Of Rebirth], style soigné, son bien léché. On sent dès les premières notes que la production a bien évoluée depuis le premier album et que le son percute. Un album à écouter dans son intégralité.
BIOGRAPHY
Big Rush is a French metal rock band that started in 2007 with Manu ( bass / singer), Philippe (Guitar), Bertrand (Drums) and Jeremy (Guitar). They were already well known on the local “Auvergnate” stage. Quite quickly, Big Rush performs on many live shows in the French region “Auvergne” and, in February 2009, they released their first autoproduced eponymic album which is rather oriented Stoner style.
In June 2009, Jeremy leaves the band and Jo joins Big Rush. A new person in the line Up : a new era for Big Rush. From Stoner to Heavy Metal, and even US rock, the band starts to work on its 2nd album with powerful guitar riffs, and based on a structured even disintegrated bass/drum mix, creating their own musical style.
In the meantime, during the summer 2010, Philippe flew to Sweden to improve his guitar style with Mattias " IA " Eklundh ( Freak Kitchen), and worked on some demo pieces of the future album he brought with him. He also met the Brazilian guitar player from Rei Lagarto, Ivan Melo, and suggested him a featuring on 2 remix of the future album.
At the same time, Philippe is in touch with the American brand KAUER guitars that made him his first signature model. All the guitar parts played by Philippe will be recorded with this model.
In June, 2011, [Sound Of Rebirth] is released. A meticulous style, very good sound. As we listen the first notes of Sound of Rebirth, we realize that the production has considerably evolved since the first album and that the sound rocks! An album to be listened from the beginning till the fucking end!
